Descripción

In this talk, we will review the formalism to study massless linear perturbations of black holes, which goes by the name of black hole per- turbation theory (BHPT). The Teukolsky master equation, as well as its connection to the Heun differential equations is discussed. We then discuss novel solutions obtained via 2-d CFT methods, as well as their relation to the traditional Mano-Suzuki-Takasugi (MST) solutions in general relativ- ity. Finally, from these solutions we will show how to extract scattering amplitudes which are relevant for gravitational wave phenomenology.
