Dark matter and the origin of neutrino masses are two of the most promising areas of research in particle physics. The are several attempts to provide a unified framework for these phenomena. One of these is coined as neutrino portal, where a dark sector (which contains the dark matter candidate) couples to the SM via (Dirac) fermion mediators that mix with the SM neutrinos.
In this talk, I will present a model of self-interacting dark matter based on the neutrino-portal paradigm where neutrino masses are generated through the inverse seesaw. This simple self-interacting dark matter model meets all available constraints without fine-tuning of parameters.
